Private development backup workflow

Your projects.
Your drive.
Your recovery.

DevSSD Backup is a privately operated desktop backup workflow for development files. It combines local encryption, versioned recovery snapshots, and Google Drive storage using Restic and Rclone.

DEVSSD / PRIVATE WORKSPACE● ENCRYPTED BACKUP DESIGN
Built for recovery

A practical backup workflow, without a cloud app managing your source code.

The desktop tools handle backup and recovery. This website provides information and policy disclosures; it does not run backups or request Google sign-in.

Select local projects

The operator chooses files from a locally mounted development drive. Source code stays available in the normal desktop workspace.

Encrypt before upload

Restic encrypts backup data locally before transfer. The repository in Google Drive contains encrypted backup data, not a browsable source-code mirror.

Restore when needed

Snapshots enable retrieval of selected files or whole project directories using the appropriate credentials and encryption password.

Privacy by design

Limited access for a specific purpose.

The Google Drive authorization is used by the local Rclone integration to create and manage the backup files associated with this application. DevSSD Backup uses the drive.file permission rather than unrestricted Drive access.

Google Drive access is granted through the operator's own Google account. The static website does not itself collect login credentials or issue backup commands.
